HITEC Conference Day 1

First day of the HITEC conference was yesterday, hosted by the Hospitality Financial and Technologies (HFTP) group, wrapped up earlier today and from all accounts it was a win for TiVUS. The highlight was Host Hotels & Resorts bringing in representatives from one of the major high-end hotel chains across the world to view the system. This is clear indication that Host believes in the technology, and wants to see the TiVUS Solution implemented in hotel rooms worldwide. Philadelphia Installation Rolling Along

TiVus is moving fast on the install at the Philadelphia hotel owned by Host Hotels & Resorts (which is the largest real estate investment trust group in the country, in case you forgot). Apparently, now 500 rooms are live at the hotel, which is over a 1/3 of the hotel’s total rooms. The projected completion date is sometime late in the summer of this year. Keep in mind the TiVus install crew is working in tandem with the hotel’s remodeling crew, so the speed isn’t entirely up to TiVus. Check out the full release below the fold or on TiVus’ Site.

QualityStocks Promoting Tivus

It’s really exciting when Quality Stocks does a feature on Tivus, discussing the potential Tivus has for growth and expansion in the hospitality industry. QualityStocks focuses on “companies that have huge potential to succeed in the short and long-term future.” Their membership board is exclusive and invitation-only, and represents some of the more savvy investors on the internet.

Some Good Mentions in the Blogosphere

After today’s release of Tivus’ Q1 2011 Review, a lot of IPTV, technology, and business blogs have started to pay a little more attention to Tivus. It’s about time everyone started to notice the potential of Tivus, but I guess once you can start saying thousands of guests have used Tivus, people realize the potential. (I’ll post more as I find them)

FavStocks Posts About Tivus

Fav Stocks posted an excellent piece today discussing the real potential of Tivus, Inc.. I suggest you take a look, and understand why we and they are so excited about what Tivus is doing.

The author highlights a lot of the things that we try and point out to investors and reporters whenever we talk. They point out the Host Hotels agreement shows Tivus “has recently begun to strengthen its foothold in the industry by landing this sort of arrangement with Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc.”. They even go so far to say that “The word “undervalued” is often tossed around too frequently in the stock market”, but that Tivus actually deserves the moniker. TiVus Announces First 300 Rooms Live at Host Hotels & Resorts Property

The installation at the Host Hotels & Resorts property in Philadelphia, PA is moving quickly. TiVus has already installed 300 rooms at the property. Current projections show the installation should be fully completed sometime in the summer, based on the speed of the Host Hotels remodeling crews. Tivus Going to New York

As part of Tivus’ outreach to Wall Street and private investors, Shiva Prakash, Tivus’ CEO, Sue Alberts, and Steve Haag, with SmallCap Support Services LLC will be attending the Private Equity Venture Capital Forum. Tivus just put out press on their relationship with Falcon IP/Complete, who you might recognize as the group that wired the new Dallas Cowboys stadium. It’s a strategic partnership that is a key component of the advanced technology Tivus is deploying. Read the whole story below the fold.

Hotel TVs getting Smart – Omaha World-Herald

The contract Tivus has with the Omaha DoubleTree Hotel and Convention Center got noticed by the Omaha World-Herald today. I think the line I liked best is how the author said Tivus is “working to change the hotel-stay experience.” The article discusses in depth the story of Tivus (including Shiva Prakash), and the technology behind our unique system. Tivus Announces Porn-Free IPTV System

Tivus, Inc. announced today they are in advanced discussions with Marriott International to deploy Tivus’ Internet Protocol Television system (HD IPTV) in their hotels. You might remember the news of last week (Analyst Report saying LodgeNet customer dropping porn, Marriott confirming they are dropping adult content, and the effect on LodgeNet’s stock).
